Marking your swimmer for a Meet

It is a big help if parents mark their swimmer with a Sharpie prior to the meet. Here is what you need to do:

Write your swimmer's name and age on their upper right back. See photo below:

Make 3 column headings on your child's arm with a Sharpie - E, H, L. These stand for event, heat, lane. For each event, write the event number, heat number, lane number and stroke under the corresponding column heading.

This swimmer is in: Event 6, Heat 4, Lane 4, 50 yard freestyle. Event 12, Heat 3, Lane 5, 50 yard backstroke. Event 16, Heat 4, Lane 8, 100 yard butterfly.

FR=FREESTYLE

BR=BREASTSTROKE

BK=BACKSTROKE

FLY=BUTTERFLY

IM=INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY
